Gov. Scott Walker made the final two appointments to the state’s new Elections Commission on Friday.
The governor named Beverly Gill of Burlington and Julie Glancey of Sheboygan to the commission, which will oversee elections in the state.
Gill is the election inspector for the Town of Burlington and was chosen from a list submitted by Republicans. Glancey served as the Sheboygan county clerk from 1995 until 2013. She was chosen from a list submitted by Democrats.
The six-member Elections Commission and a separate Ethics Commission will replace the Government Accountability Board on June 30.
Last year, lawmakers voted to eliminate the board, which is made up of nonpartisan former judges. The new commissions will have an equal number of appointees from Republicans and Democrats.
